Family Update!

Liberty has started doing some really funny things. A couple of days ago, she grabbed Clarissa' key chain and put it in front her her face like a camera and said, "Cheese." If I don't stop and pose, she gets very upset. Then she turns the "camera" around to show me the photo she has just taken. It is too cute. Perhaps she is a photographer in training!

But she definitely does not want to be a model! Lately, when I try to take her picture, she gets upset and starts chanting, "No cheese -- no cheese!" The first time she did it, it took me a moment to realize what she was trying to tell me.
Liberty, in many ways, is like her mama. She is stubborn, vocal, and determined. But in other ways, she is her father's daughter. She has such a funny, quirky personality -- just like her dad! She does things just to make her family laugh. She has ZERO inhibitions and strives to be the life of the party -- even when the rest of us are ready to pack the party away for the night! She is such a joy to be around -- even when she is ruling the house with an iron fist!

Over Christmas break, the kids spend 1 week at their mom's house. This Christmas, they were
gone even longer because they went to Utah. Liberty missed Caleb and Clarissa so much, that when they came home, she wouldn't leave them alone. Where ever Caleb or Clarissa was, you would find Liberty close by. Here is Caleb and Liberty watching TV together. She was laying on his thigh -- she couldn't get close enough to him!

Clarissa saw me taking a picture and didn't want to miss being in the action. Liberty really is in her element when she is with her brother and sister.
You can't really tell from this picture, but Liberty has a head full of curls. When she gets out of the tub, the back of her head is just one ringlet after another. I LOVE it!

Liberty loves trying on other people's shoes, especially mine. I know it is cheesy, but when I see her do it, I pray inside my heart that I am walking in a righteous path because I know my Libby will follow me any where. I love her so much and I want all that is good for her.

Liberty -- just kicking it on the couch. She thinks this little remote control is a video game (one like her brothers) and she'll hold it and pretend to play games.

Caleb -- straight from the shower. His dad is awfully proud of the Cowboys jersey Caleb is wearing. I bought him a little Pittsburgh Steelers one a few years ago, and it is way too small now. I tease his dad that Caleb is a Steeler in Cowboy clothing.
Well, that's it for today! Maybe I'll do a little posting tomorrow.
What cute kids! Liberty looks like quite the little crack-up. I have a love/hate relationship with the 2 year old stage. I love how much more fun and independent they are and how quickly they pick up on things. But I also find that I'm constantly on the verge of pulling my hair out. I'm pretty sure every stage comes with pros and cons. So I'll just enjoy it while it lasts!
ReplyDeleteI just read your post to my blog stating that you were thinking of another baby. Roger and I are in the talks right now. I think we are both slightly nauseous over the thought of having another one right now, but also know that it is pretty much now or never. Nothing like having a bunch of little ones running all over the place, right? Good luck!
